About Hollygrove header for Hollygrove Nursery School website

A small nursery where parents, staff and children all get to know each other.

About Hollygrove

The children are positively encouraged to spend their time purposefully and are guided through the learning of new skills and concepts as they play. There are creative areas for paint, glue, crayons and pens; specially selected toys and games which encourage the children to work together and develop their imagination; and areas for tactile and scientific play such as clay, dough, sand and water.

Singing, music and movement are important at Hollygrove, as are group story and discussion times. Our large secluded garden is situated well away from roads and traffic and is well equipped with climbing apparatus and a wide variety of toys and activities to support learning and development outdoors. The children enjoy exploring and playing in the garden every day.

We would love to show you around - please contact us to arrange a visit!

Hollygrove Nursery Sessions

To get the most out of nursery we suggest that the children attend for three sessions (two is the minimum). We find the children usually settle easier by coming on consecutive days. However we will try to be flexible to suit you.

Fees may be paid termly or monthly in advance. Reluctantly we must charge for the days a child is absent (but not for public or nursery holidays). We require 4 weeks paid notice of leaving. We accept employer childcare vouchers and parents are able to claim the Early Education Funding for 2, 3 and 4 year olds.

A fee of £20 is payable at the time of registation. A deposit of £50 will be required when you accept a place - this deposit is refunded when your child leaves nursery. Your child will receive a complimentary Hollygrove Nursery sweatshirt when he/she starts.

We suggest that children are dressed in clothes which are suitable for nursery activities: shoes which are easy to run, skip and climb in, sleeves which push up, elasticated trousers etc. Our Hollygrove Nursery sweatshirts and polo shirts create a sense of identity and belonging and are also "meant" to get messy! We use the garden every day - whatever the weather - and recommend that children are provided with appropriate clothing and footwear so that they are comfortable.

We know that choosing a nursery is an important decision so please come and meet us and we will be happy to answer your questions.
